Northwest Wild Foods: Delicious Berries & Foods from the Wild

If you love wild foods, especially wild huckleberries, you will love Northwest Wild Foods.

According to their website:

“Located between the temperate Puget Sound and the rugged Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest, Northwest Wild Foods is a small, family-owned company in Burlington, Washington, that is dedicated to bringing you the rare and natural wild flavors of our region and beyond. Our wild berries are hand-gathered in areas such as the lush woodlands of the Cascade and Olympic Mountains, where our intrepid pickers often find themselves competing with Black bear, cougar, and other animals for delicious juicy berries.”

Their offerings of wild berries are one of the largest selections offered online. Check out the four different varieties of wild huckleberries, bilberries, and lingonberries – all close relatives of the famous Idaho (Mountain) huckleberries. See all the varieties here:  Wild Berries

Many of their wild berries are handpicked in the mountains in the Pacific Northwest from Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Canada. They also have a handful of select berries harvested from Europe.

Other offerings, which also include gourmet food products using their fresh wild foods, are listed below:

Because they are concerned with keeping the product fresh, frozen products are shipped Monday through Wednesday and packed with dry ice for delivery in 1 to 3 days.

The International Wild Huckleberry Association has worked with the LaMonte’s for several years. Although we have not purchased items from them directly, we have referred them to huckleberry producers who have relied on their fine selection to make many of the delicious Pacific Northwest gourmet foods seen on many store shelves in the area.

Check them out for their fresh, frozen, and packaged products.
